A shipment timeline buyers can follow
Shipped on 5 September 2026
"Where is my order?" is the question every store hears most. With the shipment timeline, buyers can answer it themselves.
What you get
- Staff add movement events to an order: handed over, in transit, arrived at the pickup point, or any step you want to report.
- A tracking URL on the order, for example the carrier's tracking page.
- A switch per delivery method that turns tracking on for that method.
- A timeline for buyers, through guest order lookup or in their account.
How it works
In the cabinet, open an order and add an event each time the parcel moves. Each event appears on the order's timeline in order. If the parcel has a tracking number with a carrier, paste the tracking URL so buyers can open it in one click.
Tracking is set per delivery method. Turn it on for courier delivery and leave it off for pickup from your shop, for example, so buyers only see a timeline where it makes sense.
Buyers find the timeline in two ways. Signed-in buyers open the order in their account. Guests use order lookup on the storefront and see the same timeline without creating an account.
Why this matters for your store
A visible timeline answers questions before they turn into messages. Buyers who can see that their parcel left yesterday tend to wait calmly, and your team spends less time replying to "any news?" in chat.
What we verified
We checked the shipment events migration, the cabinet endpoint for adding events, the per-method tracking switch, and the guest order lookup and account pages on the storefront.
