Promo codes your buyers enter in the cart
Shipped on 5 September 2026
A promo code is one of the simplest ways to run a campaign: you share a word, buyers type it, the price goes down. RedCart promo codes cover that path from the cabinet to the cart.
What you get
- Percent codes and fixed-amount codes.
- Fixed-amount codes carry a currency, so the discount is clear in every price list.
- An optional start and end time for each code.
- An on/off switch to pause a code without deleting it.
- A field in the cart where buyers enter the code.
How it works
Codes have been managed in the cabinet since 25 August: you create one, choose percent or fixed amount, and for a fixed amount pick the currency it applies in. You can give it a start and an end time, for example a weekend sale, or leave it open.
On 5 September the cart learned to apply them. A buyer types the code in the cart, and the store checks it against your settings: it has to be switched on and, if you set a window, the current time has to fall inside it.
The switch is handy for short campaigns. Turn a code off when a promotion ends early and turn it back on next time, with the same name and settings.
Why this matters for your store
Codes are easy to share in a newsletter, a social post or a printed card, and easy to tell apart, so each campaign can have its own code. Time windows mean you set a campaign up in advance and it starts and stops on its own.
What we verified
We checked the promo table, the cabinet endpoints for codes, the promo screens, and the cart endpoint that applies a code.
