Set prices per currency, with a compare-at price

Shipped on 24 August 2026

If you sell to buyers in more than one country, a single price converted on the fly is rarely what you want. In RedCart you set the price for each currency yourself.

What you get

  • One price per SKU per currency. Each SKU can carry a different price in each currency you use.
  • An optional compare-at price, the "was" price shown next to the current one.
  • Ten currencies ready to enable: USD, EUR, RUB, KZT, UAH, GBP, CNY, TRY, KGS and UZS.
  • You choose which currencies your store uses and which one is the default.

How it works

In the cabinet you turn on the currencies you need and pick a default. On each product you then enter the price of every SKU in each enabled currency. Because you set every figure yourself, you decide on rounding and local price points, for example 990 in one currency and 12.90 in another.

The compare-at price is optional. When you fill it in, the storefront can show it beside the price. The database checks the pair: a compare-at price lower than the price is rejected, so a mistyped figure cannot turn into a "discount" that makes the item look more expensive.

Products that have a compare-at price also feed the storefront deals page, which was added later.

Why this matters for your store

Prices you set yourself stay stable and predictable for buyers in each market. The compare-at price lets you show a reduction clearly, and the database check keeps that display honest.

What we verified

We checked that prices are stored with the SKU and currency together as the key, that the compare-at rule is enforced by the database, and that currencies can be enabled and set as default in the cabinet.
