A news feed on your storefront
Shipped on 5 September 2026
New arrivals, holiday opening times, a restock of a favourite product: stores always have something to tell their buyers. RedCart storefronts have a news feed for exactly that.
What you get
- A news module in the cabinet where you write posts.
- A public feed on your storefront at
/news. - Its own routes, so each post has its own page.
- Its own tables, separate from the rest of your store content.
How it works
You open the news module in the cabinet, write a post and publish it. The post appears in the feed on /news and on its own page, styled by your storefront theme like the rest of the store.
The feed went live at 17:18 on 5 September. Later that evening, at 20:46, news moved into its own tables. That keeps news separate from your blog and from your store pages, each with its own editor and layout.
Why this matters for your store
A news page gives buyers a reason to come back and gives you a place to share updates that do not fit on a product page. Short, regular posts show that the store is active and cared for, and the feed keeps older updates in one place for anyone who missed them.
Because news has its own module, it stays focused on announcements. Longer articles, guides and stories can go to the blog, which is a separate feed.
What we verified
We checked the news schema migration, the public news API, the cabinet news module, and the storefront feed and post templates.
You are reading a news feed right now. If you would like one on your own storefront, put your store on the early access list.
