A deals page that fills itself
Shipped on 5 September 2026
Plenty of buyers head straight for the sale section. On RedCart storefronts that section builds itself from data you already keep on your products.
What you get
- A
/dealspage on your storefront. - Products you mark as hits appear on it.
- Products with a compare-at price appear on it.
- No separate list to create or keep up to date.
How it works
The deals page looks at your catalog and picks two kinds of products. The first are products you have marked as hits, your best sellers or the items you want to push. The second are products with a compare-at price, the "was" price shown next to the current one.
Because the page reads those signals directly, it stays current on its own. Add a compare-at price to a product and it shows up on /deals. Remove the compare-at price when the sale ends and it disappears from the page. Mark a new product as a hit and it joins the list.
Why this matters for your store
A hand-made sale page is easy to forget. Products stay listed after the sale ends, or new discounts never make it there. Here there is one source of truth: the product itself. You manage prices and hits where you already work, and the deals page follows.
The compare-at price also has a database check behind it: it cannot be lower than the price. So the deals page never shows a "was" figure below the current price.
What we verified
We checked the deals endpoint in the shop API, its use of hit products and compare-at prices, and the deals template in the default theme.
If sales and best sellers drive your store, try RedCart through early access and watch your deals page fill up.
