Keep nodes, platform hosts, and deploys boring: sockets, TLS, Postgres, and rollouts that do not surprise merchants at lunch.
We run platform hosts (www, api, deploy) and nodes that host many shops. The job is reliability and a deploy path a tired engineer can follow at 2 a.m. without folklore.
What you will do
- Own Linux, nginx, process supervision, and backups for Postgres.
- Make apply_migrations and Go/PHP rollouts observable and reversible.
- Tighten TLS, secrets, and host isolation between platform and node.
- Document runbooks; kill heroics as a process.
What we look for
- Production Linux and Postgres, not only cloud consoles.
- You have taken a service from “works on my laptop” to a host with logs and a rollback.
- Calm incident communication.
Nice to have
- Go or PHP enough to read the services you ship.
- Multi-tenant or high-connection proxy experience.
Remote, full-time. Describe the worst deploy you survived and what you automated so it cannot happen the same way twice.
